چکیده

fungal infections of fish are widespread problem which affect wild and farmed species. the aim of the present study was to isolate and identify fungal flora in cultivated and natural caspian sea acipenser persicus. the samples were obtained from skin, fin and gill of the fish and were inoculated into culture media with antibiotics and incubated at 23±1 ?c. 13 species of fungi isolated from the fishes including: alternaria alternata, cladosporium carioni, mucor spp., aureobasidium spp., penicillium citrinum, penicillium frequentans, penicillium notatum, paecilomyces spp., aspergillus flavus, aspergillus fumigatus, pseudallescheria boydii, rhodotorula rubrum and fusarium spp. the most frequent one was cladosporium carioni in cultivated (16.95%) and natural fishes (10.17%). while the most fungi were isolated from fin (40.68%), the lowest were isolated from skin (28.82%) of fishes.

Evolutionary relations and population differentiation of Acipenser gueldenstaedtii Brandt, Acipenser persicus Borodin, and Acipenser baerii Brandt

Russian ( Acipenser gueldenstaedtii), Persian ( A. persicus) and Siberian ( A. baerii) sturgeons are closely related 'Ponto-Caspian' species. Investigation of their population structure is an important problem, the solution of which determines measures for conservation of these species. According to previous studies, 'baerii-like' mitotypes were found in the Caspian Sea among 35% of Russian stu...

Age, growth and mortality of the Persian Sturgeon, Acipenser persicus, in the Iranian waters of the Caspian Sea

The age and growth of the Persian Sturgeon, Acipenser persicus, obtained from the Iranian coastal waters of the Caspian Sea, were studied through analysis of the pectoral fin ray section from 180 specimens, ranging in fork length (FL) from 66 to 203 cm. The specimens were obtained from commercial fisheries between October 2008 and June 2010. Interpretation of growth bands in the pectoral fin r...

Study of epidermis development in sturgeon (Acipenser persicus) larvae.

Fish skin is essential for survival, maintenance of body shape, and protection against the shock and infection. During week 1 of sturgeon larval development, the epidermis is thin and not differentiated in various layers yet, but by week 4-6 the thickness increases and various layers appear, depending upon the region of the body. Mucous cells differentiate early in development on the surface of...
